Brief Description:  Engine starting troubleshooting continued

I spent an hour on the phone with AeroSport Power talking with Corey, who ran the engine test cell at AeroSport Power for many years. Corey had test run my engine after it was assembled. We spoke all about how everthing was set up and at the end of our conversation he was satisfied that I had correctly carried out the engine setup. There were two other things he wanted to confirm and if either of those were an issue I could remove the magnetos and send them to him to try them out independantly on another engine at AeroSport Power. Back at the airport I confirmed the bus power was indeed dipping too low during cranking. I hooked up the magnetos to 9 volt batteries again but still the engine would not fire. I removed the spark plugs from their bosses and checked them for firing while cranking the engine and grounding the spark plugs to the engine baffles. No spark was noted. I did a pull through check once more and the spark plugs fired but then failed to fire again while cranking the engine. I'm suspecting the earlier engine cranking issue related to the crankcase ground strap issue is most likely the problem. I removed the magnetos and will ship them to AeroSport Power.
